I live in North Alabama, my mother in West Central Alabama in the same house for 60 years. She grew up in the depression so, like most in her generation, the "waste not, want not" thing was taken literally and liberally! Mama sold her house recently. My family and I claimed the items we wanted to keep and moved those out. Next came the items that were donatable. Out those went thanks to Habitat. NOW the really hard part. What was left was not necessarily junk, some was not good enough to donate but too good to trash; but, there was a lot of what I call "junk" scattered between the house, a 10x10 storage house and a semi-trailer (yes, thanks Dad) half full of things nobody even remembers!

When I received a callback from "Mr. Greg" he was the nicest, most pleasant, most calm and most knowledgeable of ALL the other companies I spoke with. I explained what an overwhelming job we had, asked a lot of questions about items others would not remove and must have sounded exasperated. He very patiently listened (a rare event these days), answered all my questions and made me feel like there was nothing they could not handle and reassured me that they would "take care of it all". We set a date for pickup. Over the next few days I texted "Mr. Greg" many times with more questions and concerns. His reply was the same, "don't you worry" and "we'll take care of it for you."

They did! They arrived a little early (excellent!) and wasted zero time getting started. "Mr. Greg" and "Mr. Reginald" had cleared the house in about an hour and a half. About the time they were starting on the two out building we had a terrible thunderstorm and downpour. They never slowed down. They were efficient, thoughtful, professional and personable. I do not know how they got everything on that truck, but they did! They even swept out the garage, and the porches as they were cleared!

Oh, and did I mention that they left 3 chairs for last so that my sister, my mother and me could have a place to sit while they worked? Who else would have been that thoughtful.

So, in this day and time when no one seems to care about doing a good job, and seems not to care about their fellow man----there are a few shining stars out there that are both. If you need ANYTHING moved or cleared out, please CALL GREAT BROTHERS HAULING!!!! They are all that and more!!
